Not for a second i am going to believe these plump hipsters have been surviving the apocalypse since their birth.
They stem from a community (teacher/scientists & students) that survived in a nicely wall-gardened university campus. And finally no one tried something stupid while being safe behind walls. From that perspective, it makes sense.
Fair enough but what's the point then?

Very rough & quick plot synopsis (from the first two episodes):
      Spoiler:

    - Father of the girls went to work (research) for an ally (those helicopter guys) at an unknown location a couple of months ago
    - No communication with the outside allowed there
    - Father secretly communicates with the girls
    - Last transmission basically "They're after me!"
    - Roughly knowing her father's whereabouts, off they go to rescue him, accompanied by another two teenage misfits.

But is it as good as The Tribe?
Oh man little me loved that show. Looked on imdb and pretty bummed to find out it seemly killed the career of pretty much anyone that starred in it haha.

    I've been watching Giri/Haji (BBC/Netflix), would recommend

FYI overall there is less action in it than the trailer implies.

Carnival Row was a good watch, good production and reasonable story.

Loved the world building and look forward to season two, if it ever happens.

Agree wholeheartedly about Carnival Row. Went in not expecting much and was very pleasantly surprised that it didn't completely suck.

The Walking Dead stuff lost all appeal after 5 years of people not wearing duct tape armor at the very least. Just the dumbest shit in the world to see people dying to zombies after years of knowing the risks and how simple it was. Also the level of drama was just boring. The spin-offs even existing is baffling to me.

It was pretty good, but i seem to remember that a bunch of the sex / gore stuff felt tacked on and gratuitous.

The world building was great though, and the performances at least not distractingly bad.

Never watched Carnival Row but having read Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norell I can say I was really surprised they made it into a very good series. Def a way cooler world setting than most magic themed shows, and the Napoleonic War era is a good one for historical shows as it is.

How to make Chess and chess games watchable, watch this. I give this a 10 out of 10. Best thing i saw in years.

    I finished the Queens gambit.

    it was indeed excellent.

I hope Netflix chooses to do more limited series in the future.

At least then creators get to finish their story before they are cancelled.

I hope not only Netflix will do it. Limited series tend to be better than full series or movies. Limited series don't have "filler" episodes and the storyline isn't dragged out for additional seasons. They have enough playtime so the storyline can be sufficiently told and nothing has to be cut short like in movies.

    Favourite limited series
    Band of Brothers
    Wolf Hall
    The Slap
    The Game
    The Honourable Woman
    Godless
    The Little Drummer Girl
    Chernobyl
