I would say its a aHAC+ kind of fit, AB and okish tracking allows the original aHAC getting under BS guns, webs hold down enemy aHACs and drakes who try to sit at range. heated goes out to 59km. 4k Alpha with 20-30 of them will punch through most buffer before logi can get on them.
As its mobility is based on the aHAC style AB they would be hard to disengage from, the web range bonus should help though.

The tracking is fairly good, nothing cruiser-sized or larger can realistically sig-tank your guns and frigs just kinda *pop*pop*pop*pop* as fast as they cycle. The downside is that Claymore- and Vulture-boosted Huginns can comfortably perform outside of 20-30 Loki's blap-range (40-50km) and once you have 2 or 3 webs on you and the inevitable (unironic) Bellicose with 2 target painters, any kind of sig-tank is gone and you're eating Furies and 1400s for full damage.
I'm sure it's fine for dumpstering really awful kitchen-sink fleets, but almost anything competent can dumpster kitchen-sink fleets and NCdot is looking for something to counter CFC MWDing Drakes + Alphafleet operating together and this... is not that counter. And even if things start off good, if the situation escalates, it's incredibly difficult to disengage and (since you're probably off the gate) burning back and de-aggroing is going to be painful at best.

Yeah, I edited in some other stuff regarding the context of my dislike for plated alpha Lokis. In perfect EVE, where 30-50 on 30-50 was the norm, they'd be fine, but this isn't perfect EVE and comping a fleet that cost literally 10x as much as a Drake and 2x as much as a Maelstrom with no reliable means of extraction is a terrible idea.

The problem is they fall into the standard AHAC trap - slow as fuck, unable to maneuver or dictate range, and trying to fill too many roles at once(and those fits have terribru dps). I have a much better fit I'm gonna hold onto in the hope that I can get to use it sometime soonish before I go posting it around.
Maelstroms/loltier3BC fleets are incredibly easy to counter, just you need to think a little more outside the box. At least theyre easy to counter via mechanics, what happens when you take on 1k random goon+pets pubbies and TiDi kicks up and things start breaking...well that's another story :S

OK dude as you asked, I gave it a look over, and for something with cov ops cloak and bonused probes, I basically had the same fit but a better use for the spare PG, and an explo rig to bring that resist up to equal before heat. You can fit a Gist 750pg AB on there, gives another 150+m/s, I had some from when the B-types were ~40mil. That would still leave 55+pg for a regular AB too, though IDK you'd want/need that to sigtank stuff. OR you could spend the PG on a medium injector and 3xnavy 400s if you free some CPU via now-cheap meta4 webs, etc.
There's no way to get more dps out of it while being cloaky & probey & armour. TBH as a bonused tackler but no long webs, I'd consider trading a web for a scram to hold multiple things/really dictate range against fast/dualprop/non-100mn things. ECCM would probably just annoy you as it won't be much more sensor strength, 2 webs would help you put 1 on ec- drones to try clear them off asap. All in all, consider a legion for this specific catching role, it must be very similar but a good chunk more EHP.
Edit: Oh and PyFA says T2 trimarks are cheap now. Also LG 1-5 slaves. Loki really does ramp up the EHP with them due to the really high resists. Just remember, you have no hull.
If only you weren't doing a cloaky/probing fit, it does so much more dps & EHP as a brawler.
Actually iirc Phrank's was 100k+ ehp and bonused combats on his shield cloki, but just long point for tackle.

At some point it dawned on me that T3's make just as good of probers as covops, yet they can hold more utility and can warp through bubbles. With that in mind, I set out to build a T3 that could probe, cloak, warp through bubbles, dual prop(just for escape moments), and align faster than the Helios I currently have. Through the search, I discovered that I could add some DPS and tank for additional fun(mostly catching anom runners). Worth noting that the idea behind the fit is for probing, tank and DPS are secondary.

a laughable 202 DPS, but aligns in 4.6s and does 1.6km/s with the MWD on. The 220's would allow me to eat tackle if I was to get caught, that said, if I get caught I did something wrong. Ideas on LSE vs LASB or other things I could change?
