Since I'm running Divine Flesh with currently 88% Chaos Resists, I got tipped there was a Phys to Chaos mods for helmets I could go for.
And my what a freaking difference this helmet made. I had to run a bonkers Burial Chamber map with a double ghosted Alira to get my stupid ass killed.

Burial Chambers maps are super scary now. I lost most of 89 to one, zone in, die etc. stupid me didn't give it up after 2 tries.

Unlikely but worth a try: i saw a Hydrosphere main skill build on some stream which looked hilarious and very cheap on the gear. Like Hydrosphere - Cold to Fire - whatever else and Hatred aura. Probably Elementalist with shock/chill ascendancy? Possibly ele prolif?

But for the life of me i cant find it anywhere... anyone know what i'm talking about? Tried PoeNinja but no luck since it's so niche.

Too lazy to look at the first PoB, but that damage can only be omni lol.

I am still tweaking an SSF poison concoction ascendant, trying to get all offcolor / whites on a +1 curse sixlink atm, but maybe i'll have another build in me before league ends.

I made the mistake last league of saving up all my currency and burning out before i actually got to use it. Like 30 conqueror maps, two Canes of Kulemak (one with double minion rolls), 5 exarch / eater invites, 100 or so scarabs etc. Bunch of grand heists and logbooks. But since my final build capped out on damage too early i just lost the drive to boss / reroll.

Will probably try to do a zoomy deadeye next league. Also, Essence / Harvest passives are nice but i probably could have done better with Delirium / Ritual. Not having access to good cluster jewels on SSF held me back the most.

uber eater of worlds is pretty savage
granted i had one generic damage mod and 100% effect of invitations notable but literally any of his attacks would oneshot my guy through MS, 10.5k ES, and 90% allres, lol

Got lucky on uber uber elder and got a 50ex watchers on the first run, so thats nice
Generally i think those uber bosses are for bragging rights only, the amount of extra drops is miniscule compared to how they are tuned


Other than that the outrage on reddit over archnemesis mods now being core rare mods is hilarious

Also with no new skills/balance changes i'm pretty sure i'm gonna mostly skip this. I've ran out of things to improve on my cold dot guy in std and cba rolling/setting up something else

I'm probably still going to try to get one char to endgame, but starting out has been very slow. Got a couple of "an unexpected disconnect has occured" which took the wind out my sails. How the hell are you already on uber ubers?

Not doing any revamps seems fine to me since there is so much ive never tried, what with SSF.

PoE is in a sense a game very similar to Diablo, however... the constant league changes and standardized gameplay make this game quite unique in itself!

Ive been playing on and off a bit, trying to SSF my way into endgame on an ele hit deadeye... well today i did the quest Exarch (and failed to dodge phase terribly)... and got an Omni drop. L O L what are the chances.

Not sure i even want to try remaking my build for it, at the risk of getting addicted to it the way i got addicted to Hollow Palm when it came out.

e: I need to figure out a way to craft Omni gear with SSF resources. Probably slamming essences and recombinating, also got a Hunter strength belt that i'll harvest roll crit, maybe i'll hit that % all stats or t1 life + flat stats.

All the crafting guides are just like "lol just spend 50 ex to meta craft".

Finally got Secrets of Suffering, after getting dupes of every other small cluster... better late than never. And it actually smashes faces, while being tankier by miles than Omni.

Quite happy that I actually made a workeable SSF build without PoB, maybe once the league is over i'll load it up and check what my BiS quiver would have been, its the last slot that I havent crafted :P


Next league I dont want to see a single delirium mirror though, burned out on that.

League reveal. New Trickster looks okay, but only one pure damage node. ES overleech has potential I guess.

The biggest change is in the patch notes though: Divines and Exalts switch places in the crafting recipes. Bunch of league sources of divining removed. 6link vendor recipe removed. ZERO new sources of Divines, i.e. no shards, no cards, nothing.

The more I think about the change, the less I want to play. SSF tuning your gear will be absolute cancer. Maybe it's another skip league unless they fix something mid-league.

edit: Oh yeah and another small thing, the Atlas node for increased chance for map bosses to drop good uniques is also kill. Might not seem relevant, but was my main way to get rare uniques last league.

I dont know what is going to happen to Timeless Jewels now, the top 0.001% will probably still use them but for everyone else they are dead. One change that doesnt really affect me since i've never depended on them, but some people are going to have a rude awakening. I've always wanted to try a Chainbreaker build, but thats RIP.

Be interesting to know when they made the decision internally to make Divines rarer. See if that came after the Timeless Jewel seeds were cracked...

Ironically enough, its not actually harder in terms of mob damage etc. like gauntlet or private leagues with damage mods. It "just" has item scarcity. Which means a player with shit mechanical skill (like me) who doesnt mind going slow can actually progress.

Way less items on the ground (actually playable without item filter, and you need a separate one for ruthless, Neversink has one)
No bench crafting.
Most recipes are disabled (but some base ones like rgb item to chrome do work)
No Uber lab.
No movement skills.
And the biggest one: no gem vendor AND no support gems as quest rewards. Support gems are drop only (and rare AF apparently).

I rolled a witch in ruthless HC trade, and plan to veery casually and slowly progress through the campaign. So far i can say one thing: the sense of excitement of "my character is still alive" from a decade ago when HC was the default game mode is back for me. Also my very first rare was a weapon with +1 all cold skill gems off Merveil, feels pretty good

Agreed, Ruthless is actually great, it makes the game feel alive from the start and lowers powercreep a bit (you can still get ridiculous dmg early if you build resonable)
