Camera work is always going to suck because the ~100 people that are invested enough to know what's happening want wide shots that rotate around to give an idea of the tactical situation and the rest want close-ups and pretty explosions.

That said, peak viewers hit 6k and that is a pretty decent number for a dying game. Stream had some interesting content between matches and panel did a good job so overall this was a successful event by CCP standards. As for the tournament itself there were a few surprises...

I kinda wonder if it could be nice to have some POV cams of players on key ships to see what it feels like...
We released a video with our team comms over the CCP stream to highlight what actually went on in the "nothing is happening" match against Lockrange Enjoyers. POV cams unfortunately reveal too much intel to be allowed during the tournament, but there usually are one or two that drop later.

Yokan (Odin's call captain) wanted to release a full PoV video but we're gonna have to harass it out of him :'(

I've stumbled into it on Twitch the last weekend. And the setups surprised me, too. Though I'm looooong out of the loop.

There was a dual Golem/Navy Scorp/Ravens team that actually won their match - something that never happened back in my active days. And one of the teams was Odin's Call, IIRC. The other one The Huskers?

But yeah - camera work was worse than WoWS' KoTS. At least this time around WG gave back camera control to the casters, it appeared. I give them credit for that. Though they still spammed way too much "highlight replays" into the ongoing match, more often than not having that inscreen overlay hiding the important stuff that was going on in the match. And judging from the reaction of the casters - or the lack thereof, they didn't see the replays popping up somewhere in there casting corner, because I'm pretty sure that they would have moved the camera to another angle or zoomed out a bit more.
