Maybe they'll blame the right people now.
these people, overwhelmingly, have zero political engagement and most likely don't vote.
Well, that's sad, but if you don't vote, other people decide your fate.
It's almost like those in power realize this, and have spent the last fifty years making it increasingly difficult for those that would vote against them to actually cast a ballot.
Is it really more difficult to cast a ballot today than it was fifty years ago?
That really depends on where you live, and it shouldn’t.

    Take Kansas City, for example.

One one side of the state line (in Kansas), they have advanced voting for two full weeks ahead of the election, come and vote at your leisure. If that is inconvenient, or you will be out of town, you can request an advanced ballot to mail in (convenient this year with the 'rona). There are even steps to have someone else 'sign-out' a ballot for you, so you can vote; yes there is a complex chain of custody to prevent all the issues that one might imagine those trying to suppress voting would raise/object to.

On the other side of the state line (in Missouri), you vote on election day, or fuck you, basically. They extend their poll hours one hour longer than Kansas, to make up for it.
To be fair they do let you request a mailed ballot, but you need a specific excuse (Out of County on Election Day, Illness/Disability, Ekection Worker/Poll Watcher, Religious Objection, ACP (Hidden Address), or Incarcerated w/ voting rights.
The Governor of Missouri stated that distancing/concern over the pandemic wasn't reason to request a ballot via mail, and they would be rejected. Also fuck off if you are a student living outside of your county, have to work a shift during the election day, or catch Jury Duty, etc.

We get a mail in ballot by default and you can go drop that off at the library, the county, or the election commission 2 weeks before if you prefer, or just mail it, or still go on voting day. I often do, because I like the walk.

People like you acting like this is some sort of high intelligence gotcha that means anything.
Look, the wages you withheld from the workmen who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of Hosts. You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves for slaughter.

restating what's actually going on without spin applied is not satire, there's no irony, exaggeration or ridicule at play at all. it's literately just restating what's going on.

    Schopenhauer:

All truth passes through three stages.
    First, it is ridiculed.
    Second, it is violently opposed.
Third, it is accepted as being self-evident..
