the benefits are so self-evident it would only cause confusion in the markets by stating them.
The benefits are glaringly obvious to the real people that justly benefit from the brexit. Just sucks to be one of the poor(*) plebs bearing all of the cost

Irish unification in 2024.![]()
The NHS is basically collapsing. Huge amounts of denial among mainstream press and basically anyone who hasn't themselves been anywhere near a busy hospital in the past couple of weeks.
Look, the wages you withheld from the workmen who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of Hosts. You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves for slaughter.
Project Fear: https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/...es-for-channel
“If we get this right, if we get this framework implemented, we get the executive back up and running, Northern Ireland is in the unbelievably special position, the unique position in the entire world in having privileged access not just to the UK home market, which is the fifth biggest in the world, but also the European Union single market.
“Nobody else has that. No one – only you guys only here. And that is the prize. I can tell you, when I go around the world and talk to businesses, they say: ‘That’s interesting.’ Nowhere else does that exist. It’s like the world’s most exciting economic zone.”
Rishi Sunak, today.

I wonder why the rest of the UK can't be as privileged?
because it (brexit) never considered the impact on northern ireland and then there was a panicked bodge to try and make it work. It's the only part of the UK where there's a very real chance of serious violence erupting if there wasn't a better solution.
I've seen this line today linked to scottish nationalism and to a lesser degree welsh - to try and use this compromise for the preservation of the GFA as an indy message is absolutely fucking pathetic.
All i'm hearing is STRONG AND STABLE lads.
Gotta admit, brexit and trumperino were the most succesful russian internet campaigns ever.
I'm really enjoying Boris's pathetic splodge back onto the Uk politics scene with his allies whining about Sue Gray and his pathetic dribble about Sunak cleaning up his mess in Northern Island.
What a simp.

The BBC won't be showing an episode of the new Attenborough show on the telly because it's too woke for the Tories: https://www.theguardian.com/media/20...backlash-fears
To be a little fair, it seems more like they were given an extra episode & decided to only put it on iPlayer rather than cutting a planned episode from the TV schedule.
6 episodes is exactly the length of almost every show procured by the BBC.
This is more bullshit corwardice from Tory BBC leaders.
