    Pascal Gaming Laptop Discussion Thread

    Hey,

I did some research, had a price bracket of around 1000 - 1400 tops and ended up purchasing

    GL702VM-GC010T

Anyone care to discuss? I went for uprated CPU as I feel the 1060 won't be the limiting factor in gaming.

I think the new Pascal mobile GPU's are going to be a good turning point for mobile gaming. I don't mind being wrong though.

I know this has been said before, but unless you HAVE to have mobility, avoid gaming laptops and get a smaller case/mobo combo for better price/cost.
    However...

I would prob get a HP Omen with the 1070 over that thing (Y3V38EA#UUW), they also have a 1060 model (X9X97EA#UUW) but the price gap is not that big.
The current Alienware 15/17 being released now is kinda neat too, similar price range: http://www.dell.com/en-us/gaming/alienware-laptops

Mobility wise - this is because my current gf, who has decided to take an interest in my hobby, is currently borrowing my craptop and playing wows with me at 12-30 fps, but shes still giving it a good go.
So she can play at Uni and then put the laptop in the bag and come play with me here. Mobility is king in this regard, otherwise I'd have to buy 2 rigs to accommodate that. And we've already agree'd I get the laptop back if we split, so its an investment even if we don't last the three years.

Omen looks good. Any Links for either the Alienware or Omen on scan for the exact models?

TBH 1350 was pushing my budget to the limits, although there are gains to be had, I looked at the benchmarks on the 1060 and found no need to go to the 1070 for the games we will be playing.

I bet she failed to mention in how many discrete parts.
