Ohh a Blaster 3.5, so nice. I splurged a while back on the 3, such a nice plane but now I'm jealous of your pull wires!

If there's enough room in the fuselage, you could try and switch to a pull wire linkage.
Install some torsion springs in the rudder and elevator, and some bowden housing (is that the word, for the wires inside the fuselage?).
The manual for the Snipe explains the procedure.

You could save quite a bit of weight that way...

Sadly this year we've had even less pilots at our meet but aparently next year they're going to invite pilots from all over europe so it should be incredible since it's going to be the 30th anniversary of this meet

Check check.. I have a hobbyking breeze and have successfully flown it.. Landing was a bit upside down, but everyone walked away.

It was both terrifying and fun. It will be flown again once it has been fixed.

My breeze came down in a tree a few years ago. Damaged the wing and nose a little. Took about a month to get the parts to repair it which I have done, but it's not flown since.. I haven't in fact flown anything since.. I have about $2k worth of quads in various stages of repair (3 are still flyable) but I lost the urge to fly last year when doggo went to hospital.
