In other plague news: COVID-19 makes you dumber. So the pandemic deniers get even more and dumber. What could possibly go wrong?

Case studies have revealed neurological problems in severely affected COVID-19 patients. However, there is little information regarding the nature and broader prevalence of cognitive problems post-infection or across the full spread of severity. We analysed cognitive test data from 84,285 Great British Intelligence Test participants who completed a questionnaire regarding suspected and biologically confirmed COVID-19 infection. People who had recovered, including those no longer reporting symptoms, exhibited significant cognitive deficits when controlling for age, gender, education level, income, racial-ethnic group and pre-existing medical disorders. They were of substantial effect size for people who had been hospitalised, but also for mild but biologically confirmed cases who reported no breathing difficulty. Finer grained analyses of performance support the hypothesis that COVID-19 has a multi-system impact on human cognition.

Impossible. Trump already recovered, how could he get any dumber?

I guess there's a threshold below which even he can't fall ... experts are still not clear on that matter, though.

Companies are encouraged to have employees work from home.
Companies with less than 50 employees get 75% of lost revenue from the government. About 10 billion euros are earmarked for that.

Holy fuck...See kids, this is socialism done right, when your country has mature enough politicians to save some money in the surplus years. On the other side of the border retardation continues.

Well its the money we saved with austerity.

For example the building my school is in hasn't been renovated since the 80s. It's now in a state that renovation cost exceed €30m, which will be spent in the next few years.

    Just as planned. /s

/s is not needed. Remember when someone complained they didn't have money for god knows how many years to build kindergarten, but then some millions came from federal budget for refugee facilities, in some god forsaken eastern land? And we went into discussing about differences between local and federal budgets? That's how you get so high AfD approval ratings.

Socialism is about who should own the workplace, this is just common sense.

It's welcomed nonetheless, because it's too rare nowadays.

Do we need to go about Silicon Valley, where everyone works on their own laptop, in their own garage/living rooms being socialist paradise, again? I thought we have it sorted.

It may blow your mind but more affluent and up to date corporations are already moving majority of their work force for permanent, non negotiable, remote working conditions, while offering subsidies for buying your own means of productions. So, another huge win for marxism (ask Keckers for difference between socialism), yay? Right, guys?

In reality, worst case of cyberpunk scenarios, slowly becomes reality.

edit: or should i say, rapidly?

    Always has been.
I was somewhere around Old Man Star, on the edge of Essence, when drugs began to take hold.

Why would you willingly commute to sit in a cube farm all day?

Because I like my co-workers and my cubicle is more conducive to getting work done than any setup I have at home.

also, i want to save my ISP data cap for Steam downloads
