So in the sub kiloton range then, doubt it was above one kiloton. But it's purely up to speculation
bigger than that, probably low kiloton range.
1.25 miles is 2km, the 2.75 kt i used above has a lower "broken windows" area than that at 1.48km.

but it's very different types of explosions, so fuck knows really, it was definitely up around the sort of yields you can dial tactical nuclear weapons down to.

Its hardly going to be in the ideal detonation conditions sitting in sacks in a warehouse.
Look, the wages you withheld from the workmen who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of Hosts. You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves for slaughter.

We have a load of explosives sitting in the Thames ready to (maybe) explode at any minute.

As for aid, I think the Royal Navy are sending HMS Enterprise to do something which I presume will be useful. It'll be interesting to see how the politics plays out with accepting aid from Israel.

I have no doubt we do as well here in the DC/VA/MC Capital Region honestly.

I'm glad the UK is doing something, I honestly haven't heard about any US aid as yet (maybe I just missed it).

If Israel is smart, they'll go all-in on aid to Beirut regardless of the animosity. And Lebanon should accept it. A little help in hard times can help forge a new relationship. But I doubt either side will do this right.

2.75 kt of Ammonium Nitrate is closer to 1.1kt of TNT as it has 42% of the energy. ~8% of the Hiroshima nuke is quite a blast though.

the explosion itself, fertilizer, fireworks and LNG, was estimated to be 2.75kt TNT equiv.

LNG as in liquid nitrogen? Well that isn't very explosive thankfully.

Israel is sending aid, the UN will take care of the distribution. Doctors from Israel will be sent to Cyprus to work in hospitals there. Hospitals in Israel have made beds available.

Jerusalems town hall is flying the Lebanese flag.

Germany sent aid workers, especially search teams along with dangerous goods specialists. The Luftwaffe sent a medical recon team along to reconnoiter the needs. The German corvette of the UNIFIL mission is heading towards Beirut to provide its medical facilities and doctor to the aid effort.

Other nations do similar things. Pretty solid effort.

ANO (or ANFO for the simplified english) is still very very widely used explosive as it is just so damn cheap and quite safe as the stuff is generally just mixed at location. ammonium nitrate itself isn't explosive, as it is just the oxidizer part. Ammonium nitrate is also used as a fertilizer, where they mix some potassium (iirc) on the stuff to defeat its usage as explosive [oklahoma bomb was made from the fertilizer at a time where there wasn't anything added]. Usage is about 80% as a fertilizer and 20% as explosive, world production at about 20 million tons per year. So yeah, it is used heavily.
