How are they going to do alliances? If they allow Empire & Chaos to ally its gonna be kinda weird... but then if they force/lock alliances as 'good vs evil' idk how id feel.
Maybe some sort of middle ground, such as certain factions can ally but not others? So like empire could ally dark elves/orcs? (along with other good factions?) but not chaos/undead?

they literally 'finished' whfb. they ran an 'end times' campaign type thing, and at the end of it everyone died and the world was destroyed. there's supposed to be a fluff reboot with 9th ed, but because *GW* there's no actual information so all the players are leaving on droves for other games systems because they don't want to wait for months before they can use their armies again, and don't even know if their armies will even be usable.
honestly, GW make CCP look good. they pretty much killed their longest serving franchise, because they thought a big "and everyone died...." followed by months of silence wouldn't affect their customer base at all.

In fairness, it's because WFB sales were so low (and i mean LOW.....the entire game was outsold by some of the lesser 40K armies, let alone the Marine juggernaut) that it reached the point where they had very little to lose. A dramatic reboot might fail utterly, but honestly if it does they aren't losing much. And it MIGHT (ok...wont) succeed.
i cant say i'm happy about it as i really enjoyed the WFB setting, but there we are.

I tried to be cool and all I got was a lousy warning about my sig being too big.
As long as there are no endless armies spawned out of thin air and the AI kicking the bucket in every siege battle I am kind of happy.
And tzeentch was kind of boring in WH:O already. Everyone knows nurgle is where it is at.
No hopes, will be shit, yadayada. At least I won´t be disappointed this way.

As for this game which you pay for in 3 equal installments of 59.95 each, the cinematic trailer sure looks good - I'll wait for some game play before I get excited.
Spent many years playing WFB from I think 1992-1999ish. I guess 4th and 5th Ed. Great fun (Orc's and Goblins, Skaven and Wood Elves) didn't even know they killed it off. Psyched to see this though. Hope it's decent and doesn't have WTFIMBA Heroes/Daemons/Monsters etc. Fuck them. I don't want Jedi Byzantine Generals who also have magic weapons, spells and riding dragons thanks. -_-
